to the first look at the proposed new Yacht Club and Sailing School
facility. These preliminary drawings (see below) are for review
and discussion at the Annual Meeting.
The facility committee is looking forward to this discussion and to the feedback and ideas from the membership. This fall we will be working on finalizing these drawings. Additionally we will be working with the same law firm that assisted in the LGYC/GLSS lease to discover the proper answer for the use of the GLSS 501c3 in this process. Over the winter we will finalize the budgets and financial plan to pay for the new facility. A complete presentation of drawings and financial plan will be mailed to the membership just before the start of the 2008 season. The 2008 Spring Membership meeting will be dedicated to the discussion of these plans. A Special Membership Meeting will be scheduled for mid-summer 2008 to vote on this project.
