 The
Lake Geneva Yacht Club is located on the south shore of Geneva
Lake, near the west end of the lake. The club is easy to find
using one of the following sets of directions. Please contact
the club at manager@lgyc.com

Directions: Milwaukee to Lake Geneva Yacht Club
Take Interstate 894 (45) to Interstate 43 South. Follow 43 southwest
to Exit 25 (Elkhorn/Williams Bay). After exit, turn left (south)
on Highway 67. Drive 5 miles into Williams Bay. At last stop,
turn right (west) following 67. Drive 2 more miles to intersection
of 67 and Highway F (next stop sign). Turn left (south) continuing
to follow 67. Drive 1.9 miles on 67 into Fontana. Turn left (east)
at intersection located at Citgo service station and Abbey Resort
sign. This is Fontana Boulevard. Follow this road (which becomes
South Shore Drive near the lake) as it follows the west and south
curve around the lake. After 2.5 miles you will arrive at the
LGYC at 1250 South Shore Drive.
Directions: Highway 50 To Lake Geneva Yacht Club
Approaching the City of Lake Geneva from the East on Highway 50
- as you approach the city traveling westbound on Highway 50,
you will come to the first stoplight (Taco Bell, Wal-Mart, Sentry).
Continue for 1 mile to the third stoplight. This is the intersection
of 50 and Highway 120. Turn left/south at stoplight onto 120 (Center
Street). Follow 120 south as it winds through the city and follows
the curve around the eastern shore of the lake. After 2.7 miles,
120 will turn off to the south and Highway BB will continue-on
as the main road. Follow BB. After the split to BB, drive 1.6
miles to the intersection with Lakeshore Drive (same road as "South
Shore Drive"). Turn right/west. Now follow this narrow straight
road 3.5 miles to the Lake Geneva Yacht Club at 1250 South Shore
Drive.
Directions: Chicago to Lake Geneva Yacht Club
NORTH THEN WEST:
Take Interstate 94 North (or Highway 41 North) to Highway 173
(Rosecrans exit). Turn left (west) on 173. Follow 173 traveling
west through Antioch, Richmond, and into Hebron. The first stop
in Hebron is the intersection of 173 and 47 South/120 North. Turn
right (north) at this intersection. You are now on 120 North.
Drive north 3.5 miles to County B. Turn left (west) on B. Proceed
on B for 4.5 miles to the first stop sign. Turn right (north)
at the sign. Drive 1.7 miles north to the second stop sign (you
will pass one stop sign which crosses Highway BB - be careful
for this is a dangerous intersection with no stop in the cross
traffic direction). The second stop sign is at the bottom of a
steep hill. This is South Shore Drive. Now turn left (west). Drive
0.5 miles to the yacht club entrance at 1250 South Shore Drive.
WEST THEN NORTH:
Take Interstate 90 West to 47 North exit (Huntley). Turn right
(north) onto Highway 47. Follow 47 through Huntley, Woodstock
and into Hebron. The first stop in Hebron is the intersection
of 173 and 47 South/120 North. Continue straight after stop. You
are now on 120 North. After stop drive 3.5 miles to County B.
Turn left (west) on B....then follow the directions above to the
Lake Geneva Yacht Club.
Directions: Minnesota To Lake Geneva Yacht Club
SHORT CUT:
In Wisconsin - Follow Interstate 90 East south. Exit 90 at Janesville
(Exit #171C) to 14 East (a two-lane road). Follow 14 East 15.8
miles to the intersection with Highway 11. Turn right (south)
on 14 East. Follow 14 East into Darien (4.5 miles) and into Walworth
(+7.5 miles) to stoplight. Continue straight (east) after stoplight
now on Highway 67 North. Go 0.5 miles. Then turn left (north)
following 67 (intersection with bank and drive-in). Follow 67
another 1.5 miles into Fontana. Turn right (east) at intersection
located at Citgo service station and Abbey Resort sign. This is
Fontana Boulevard. Follow this road (becoming South Shore Drive
near the lake) as it follows the west and south curve around the
lake. After 2.5 miles you will arrive at the LGYC at 1250 South
Shore Drive.
LONGER BUT MORE EXPRESSWAY:
Exit Interstate 90 East at Beloit (Exit #185B) to Interstate 43
North. Follow 43 east for 15.2 miles. Take Exit #15 (Darien).
Turn right (south) onto 14 East. Follow 8.8 miles through Darien
and to first stoplight in Walworth.... then follow directions
above under Short Cut to locate the LGYC.
